Season 22 recap Spoilers — open after watching
This recap reveals the events of season 22.
A cartel called Nexus, a mole hunt inside the building, and a season that ends with Parker's father as the price.
The year's enemy is Nexus - a cartel with reach into the agency itself - and the season plays it as a long infiltration game. Torres goes under; the new deputy director, Gabriel LaRoche, turns out to be the Justice Department's own double agent inside the same organisation, a reveal that burns Torres' cover and leaves nobody sure which side of the wall LaRoche actually works.
The face at the top, when the season finally shows it, is Carla Marino - a Kansas City boss whose pleasant menace runs the back half. Parker, forced into a working arrangement with her mid-crisis, learns what the courtesy costs: the cartel gets its stolen uranium moved, the team claws the case back - and Marino, cornered, takes her revenge somewhere no badge protects. The season ends with Parker's father dead at her order, the year's biggest bill delivered to the man who thought he was managing the relationship.
Around the spine, the show does its steady work - Knight's absence rearranged, the bench deepened - but the finale leaves no doubt what next year is for: Parker, grieving and precise, with a name.
