Where does Fear the Walking Dead fit?

You can watch Fear as a separate companion after the original series. If you prefer alternating, finish The Walking Dead season eight before Fear season four: AMC introduced that season as the crossover with Morgan.

Begin Fear at season one rather than entering at season four just because that is the crossover point. The earlier seasons establish its own characters. This guide does not splice the two programmes into a minute-by-minute timeline.

Do I need World Beyond before The Ones Who Live?

Our recommendation is to treat World Beyond as optional additional context, not a required detour for every viewer. Watch both seasons if your aim is to explore more of the wider setting before continuing.

Choose by what you want from the next watch: one character’s continuation or a broader tour of the universe. Keep those goals separate when comparing a short route with a completionist list.

Is this chronological or release order?

Neither in the strict all-episode sense. It is a main-show-first route with companion choices. Finishing one series before starting another can move backwards in story time, and several series originally overlapped in release.

Avoid calling the whole franchise “season 12”: the spin-offs have their own titles and episode numbering. This page gives entry points; it does not certify a current endpoint for every continuing show or offer an episode filler cut.
